This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect the personal and health information of our patients, prospective patients, website visitors, and correspondents. We are committed to handling your information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173, the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and relevant issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).

When you contact us, book a consultation, or visit our clinic, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity data: full name, date of birth, sex, civil status
  • Contact data: mobile number, email address, home or office address
  • HMO and insurance data: HMO provider, member number, plan, approval or letter of authorisation references

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: schedule and manage appointments; provide medical consultation, diagnosis, and treatment; coordinate referrals and follow-up care; process HMO billing and PhilHealth claims; communicate test results and plan of care; send appointment reminders and post-operative check-ins; comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations; and improve the quality and safety of our clinical service. We do not use your personal or health data for advertising or profiling.

Data Storage & Security

Clinical records are maintained using HIPAA-adjacent practices appropriate to Philippine medical practice and DOH guidance on secure medical records. Electronic records are stored on encrypted servers with role-based access limited to clinicians and authorised clinic staff on a need-to-know basis. Paper records — where still used for signed consents or printed imaging — are kept in locked file cabinets within access-controlled areas of the clinic. Access to records is logged. Unused paper records are shredded in accordance with our retention policy.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information. We share clinical information only with your consent or as reasonably necessary to provide care, including:

  • Your HMO or insurer for the processing of claims and authorisations (this is standard processing, implied by your use of HMO billing)
  • Your PhilHealth membership for legitimate reimbursement processing
  • Laboratories and imaging centres handling your diagnostic work
  • Referring or accepting physicians when continuity of care requires a clinical handoff
  • Regulatory, legal, or judicial authorities where required by law or valid subpoena

Cookies

Our website uses minimal cookies to remember your preferences (such as whether you have dismissed the cookie notice). We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or analytics that collect personally identifying data about your medical interests. You may disable cookies through your browser without affecting the core functionality of the website.

Your Rights under RA 10173

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to be informed about how your data is processed; to object to processing; to access your records; to correct inaccurate information; to request erasure or blocking where grounds exist; to data portability; and to file a complaint. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within the reasonable period required by the law and will authenticate your identity before releasing or modifying records.

National Privacy Commission

If you believe your rights under the Data Privacy Act have been violated and your concern has not been satisfactorily resolved with us, you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission at the 5th Floor, Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City, or through [email protected]. We will cooperate in good faith with any NPC inquiry.
